A dear friend of ours recently traveled to Venice, and she sent us pictures of the most incredible lights. For a city that is, by all means, ancient, the lighting is quite modern. I suppose that could be chalked up to electricity versus gas – but it is rather interesting that so much of the lighting is deco-style, if not era.
There was this one group of Venetian glass chandeliers that have us a bit puzzled. “Italy” and “black-face” aren’t two terms that I typically pair together. We’ve not been able to find much online — if you have any information or could point us in the right direction, please leave a comment below!
