A dear friend of mine’s birthday was this last week, and I wanted to give her a little something special. Nothing too big, nothing too flashy, and, potentially, a little practical.
I saw this silverplate sugar a few months ago and knew what it was destined for – it’s floral theme is light and sweet and it’s proportions just right. The birthday girl has an appreciation for repurposing and mixing old and new, so I knew it was going to a good home.
A small bunch of unruly flowers (ranunculus, anemones, and something white) added the perfect amount of whimsey. I used ribbon to tie the lid into place, utilizing the handy dandy handles – a nice finishing touch!
