You know that Justin Timberlake song where he says “I’m bringin’ sexy back”? Well, that may be the case – but I’m bringing the TIARA back! At the Antique Elegance Show this past weekend, I came across this gorgeous headpiece! Picked up at a Parisian Flea Market (swoon!), this gem hearkens from a time when head gear was taken very seriously. Likely from the mid- to late-1800s, this sparkler would add serious game to any event – and could you imagine how magical it would look under a wedding veil??
This vendor also had an antique tiara display — which would have been used not only at the wedding, but later put under domed glass to be on display in the boudoir indefinitely. Click here for a beautiful example.
Here are some other incredible fabric and beaded tiaras from the early 1900s — don’t you love the swan motif? Their $100+ pricetag put them just out of reach of my dress-up budget, but if you have a ballerina in your life, you may want to hunt one down!
