With all of the buzz about Fashion Week and what new trends will arise, we’d like to take the opportunity to look at some designers and fashion that are timeless. Let’s take, for example, menswear as womenswear. Every year, the runway shows a designers re-imagination of masculine as feminine, or even masculine as extra masculine but for women. I came across this recent blog post from MessyNessyChic, where she explores the same topic of classic fashion. In fact, the title of this blog post was “This Hermès Collection circa 1952 needs a Comeback”. Let’s take a look!
Don’t you love the gamine glam of this tie-decorated dress?
And how about this still-chic “suit” ensemble? And, the oversized overcoat is so fab!
I love that we get a glimpse of how it all started.
If Emily or I ever find one of these dresses at a sale, know that we’ll scoop it up – even if it just hangs as art on the wall!
