If you’ve ever met the Red Hen, you know that her love of Maine is not only palpable, but often discussed. After many years of thinking, wishing, hoping, and praying – and an incredible amount of planning – she has officially changed her zip code! Mid-coast Maine has a new resident, and her feathers are a-flyin’!
The most exciting part of this move is that she’s finally opening the brick-and-mortar of her dreams! Built in 1869, this fantastic three-story corner building will house 2 floors of antiquarian books, maps, prints and ephemera. Some scrubbing and painting needs to be done and fixtures need to be purchased, but she should be open for business late winter or early spring. (She’ll be back to Texas for shows between now and then.)
It was love at first sight…
