A few years ago, hubs and I traveled to Rockland, Maine. We enjoyed all of the tourist-y and scenic things we could do, added some antiquing on top, and found ourselves wanting something special to commemorate our time Down East.

Inspired by the beautiful Breakwater, we searched for a decommissioned lobster buoy. It serves as full time decor, and a sometimes bookend, in hubs’ office.

Imagine my delight when I picked up the July/August issue of Coastal Living, which featured not only buoys on the cover, but this great article on their appeal and collectibility!

I love when things I think are cool are substantiated by someone other than a friend! :-)
