For years I have been on the search for a set of Johnson Brothers china, “Autumn Monarch,”  for my fall table. This set of plates, being my 4th set of china, had to be a good deal for me to justify buying. I had gotten close on an Everything but the House auction, but the price eventually went over my set budget and I had to bail. Sad Emily.

Fast forward to a rainy Sunday wondering the aisles of my local TJ Maxx and I came across these fabulous reproductions at a price I felt I could justify. The only downside, there was only 4. Sad Emily again.

After hearing that TJ Maxx gets a shipment of these every year, I decided to buy the 4 (hey, I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year) and then try again next fall. I also sent my mom and Lainey on the hunt at their TJ Maxxes. They were not successful, although my mom did pick me up so serving bowls. Less sad Emily.

In the meantime, if I want, I can use a mix of my other china to fill in. If I get too antsy, I can also find more on ebay and Replacements.com (not at $3.99 a plate though).

I’ve got my fall tablescape set with some sunflowers, small pumpkins and gourds, and my plates on display! While I have plans to add to this next year with more plates (fingers-crossed) and maybe some chargers, I’m falling in love with my harvest table.

On a totally different topic, I want to wish Lainey a very happy birthday! She was the brain-child behind this blog and has done the lion’s share of the work to keep us going for these past 6 years! She is a blessing to all she encounters and I’m lucky to call her friend.
