About the Attic Birds

Lainey & EmilyThe Attic Birds are co-conspirators friends, Lainey and Emily, who enjoy spending Saturday mornings visiting estate sales, getting great deals, and fantasizing how they would decorate their dream homes (we both want old fixer uppers with character). [edit: Lainey found her crooked old house!]

Lainey (left) is the veteran and the brains behind the operation.  She knows what things are and what they are worth, and if she doesn’t, she knows who to call (the Red Hen).  Lainey can see something that looks useless and turn it into something to treasure. She is known to pick out old photos and use them to make beautiful cards.  Emily (right) knows very little about antiques, some things about vintage clothing and fabric, and a lot of random facts.  Like Lainey, she is creative and has an eye for putting pieces together.

The Attic Birds is a blog to capture our adventures, a sounding board for ideas, and a way for us to get our thoughts out there.  If you are looking for something in particular, email us (theatticbirds@gmail.com) and we will look for it while out sale-ing.

Happy Hunting!

  1. Hello! Each month I choose a few blogs to spotlight on my blog. I’ve chosen the Attic Birds as one of my November picks. http://nmnphx.wordpress.com/2012/11/03/november-spotlight-awards/

  2. I’ve nominated you for a blogging award – hope you don’t mind. I’ve muddied the waters by responding to three awards at once myself, but I’m nominating all my favourite blogs for all of them, so feel free to respond to one or the other or all! Jx
